Chlorination in drinking water supply sector is the preliminary mode of disinfection against the bacterial contamination in the transmission system and at the user end. To achieve the appropriate amount of chlorine at the tail end of the supply system to overcome the contamination, proper mechanism to be adopted and a concrete monitoring method to be implemented.

The ChlorStock application tries to address this matter of concern by providing a mode of close monitoring of the Chlorination activity executed in the drinking water supply schemes. On one hand, this tool tracks the daily chlorination activity occurrences, and on the other, it also checks the supply and available stock of the disinfectant at each site simultaneously......

WebGIS

WebGIS is a platform, where, all the data available can be represented over the Google map providing a visual impression to the viewer on the locational coverage, distribution and other related information. It provides to access a wide range of data layers as a form of colour coded maps along with surveyed asset locations and alignment.

In this mode, the user gets to select required level of data visualization. There are supporting boundary layers to view the jurisdiction. The attribute layers have the facility of check in/ off as per requirement and the changing the Opacity of the layer visibility to related the overlapping portions in the drinking water supply schemes. The system also provides the access of calculated colour coded layers based on predefined calculations integrated with other relevant parameters.......

Resource Mapping

Geotagging assets is one of prime focal areas of any department responsible for any supply chain management. Under our data capturing methods, all types of resources/ assets can be geotagged with real time latitude longitude information categorically.

For point locations and line alignments, android applications have been developed to capture the details with auto fetching location information from the mobile GPS. The system also offers to enter the additional data related to the asset with suitable data validations and system generated autofill options. For the alignment capture, the application provides the facility to record the paths according to the movement of the application........

Integrated Water Quality Management Information System (IWQMIS)

IWQMIS is a District specific advanced management tool for sample collection and quality testing in the Laboratories. The technique firmly stands upon the precise geotagging of the drinking water sources under the concerned jurisdiction of the laboratories. The system involves a set of Web application and Android Version for sample collection and monitoring.

The mobile application guides the water facilitators to locate the drinking water sources on map and collect the samples in correct manner with provisions for image capturing.....

Quality Monitoring of Fluoride Removal Plants

Quality monitoring in the drinking water sector is one of the basic focus areas. Contamination from various chemical parameters is very common in state like West Bengal and respective supervision for the remedial measures need to be taken to mitigate the issue.

In West Bengal, we are assisting the concerned authority by providing them a Management Information System (MIS) for Fluoride contamination through monitoring of the Fluoride Removal Plants (FRPs).

The said MIS comprising a Mobile application for collecting field level plant information and updation of the same at frequent interval by the concerned authority and/ or the O&M Agency with the suitable.....

Water Quality Treatment Unit Management Information System

Apart from separate monitoring systems for assets and water quality, individual management information systems have been developed for separate water quality treatment units, such as, Arsenic and Iron Removal Plant (AIRP), Iron Elimination Plant (IEP), Water ATM, Fluoride Removal Plant (FRP), Community Water Purification Plant (CWPP). Each type carries different structure, nature of treatment process and addresses different contamination parameters.

Each Treatment unit is reflected in each Monitoring system showing the locations of the units over the Google map, images, physical details and treatment procedure. Also, the treatment efficiency of these plants is available through various graphs and charts based on chronological test results from these units.......

Functional Household Tap Connection (FHTC) Survey Monitoring

As Jal Jeevan Mission is being implemented over the entire country, installation of Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTC) is gaining pace to cover each and every rural Households to provide purified potable water at their doorstep. To check the quality of the job of FHTC implementation by the agencies, a monitoring system has been developed.

The agencies capture data of beneficiaries with suitable images of the tap connections during installation through an offline mobile application and the data is being verified by a third party for authentication prior to the upload in the Departmental/ Central Govt. Server. The system provides the provision for marking each data under defined category, so that, if data correction is required, it can be done with no hassle......

Command Control Center (CCC)

Smart Water Management System has been developed under Command Control Center for complete digital monitoring of the Water Supply System running in the field.

This is a web observance version of several water supply related parameters captured by various sensors installed over the supply chains and in different assets of the system. The nature of data varies from quantity of water discharged (viz.- water flow rate, water level, Reservoir capacity etc.) to quality of the water discharged (viz.- salinity, pH etc.) at a defined interval. This system projects this data at client defined interval for representation through various graphs and charts. The locations of the sensors can also be viewed over google map. .....
